Training ground
Training takes place on the former training grounds of the Frank Stronach Akademie (former football academy of Austria Wien, now the youth performance centre of SV Horn). In total, there are five very high-quality natural grass pitches and one artificial grass pitch (constructed in 2022) available. Three natural grass pitches (all with floodlighting, 1x 87x62m, 1x 100x66m, 1x 105x66m), a small artificial grass pitch (approx. 63x30m+20x8m) and a hard court (48x28m) can be found directly at the hotel. Approximately five minutes’ walk (less than a mile) away is also an artificial grass pitch constructed in 2022 (with floodlighting, 95x60m), the stadium of the city of Hollabrunn (105x68m), another natural grass pitch (90x50m) and a multifunctional sports hall with 2,020 square metres of floor space. A gym with parquet flooring (40x20m) and a fitness room are also located in the sports hotel. The ability to play on natural grass pitches is weather dependent and decided by the groundsperson on site. Play is usually on artificial grass from November until the end of March.
A simple, functionally equipped hotel that offers very good training facilities at a reasonable price. Built in 1976, it was extensively renovated in 2013 and has undergone annual updates since then (for example, new rooms in 2022). The style is functional, modern and urban. The hotel has a foyer with a lobby and reception, two spacious dining areas, a cosy café and fantastically equipped seminar rooms measuring 45 to 100 m2 and providing space for ten to 100 people. There is free Wi-Fi internet access throughout the building. Free hotel parking spaces for cars and buses are less than a minute’s walk away (it is possible to load and unload directly in front of the hotel entrance). There is also a washer dryer available for personal use at little cost. The hotel also offers disabled access toilets/staircases and a lift, and guarantees mobility in public areas.
